Conducted Route

At our trials, as well as the ‘main’ set of sections, we also set some sections (usually four) to cater for juniors and beginners. This gets called the ‘conducted’ route as riders can stay under close supervision of their parent(s). The sections have two severity options – easier (yellow and white flags) which is set with the youngest riders, smallest bikes and absolute beginners in mind and harder (red and blue flags) which is for more experienced riders and set to be a stepping stone to the easiest option on the main route.

Vision

The riders entered on this route are split into groups of typically 3 to 6 riders and tackle a section at a time, riding it four or five times in one direction and then the same in revAerse. This saves parents having to do a lot of chasing of their child and allows the riders to watch each other and pick up tips from others as well as creating a supportive atmosphere for those just starting out. This route is ideal for youngsters on the small electric trials bikes such as Osets which have allowed children to start competing from the age of 4.

Mission

It isn’t just for the electric bikes though, older beginners on petrol bikes are also very welcome to join the fun. Conducted results are published with the main results, but the prime objective is for the riders to have fun whilst also learning the basics of trials and developing skills to allow them to progress. This format has been running for a good number of years now and has seen youngsters progress to compete at national level competitions. For more info give Scott a ring on 07748155264.
